Current Birdathon Teams
Currently, five Eastside Audubon teams have declared their intent to count as many bird species as they can in one 24-hour period in May.
We have five returning teams who have raised lots of money every year for our chapter. Just click on a name to find out more.
- Bird Brains – Jim Rettig, team captain.
- Whidbey Wing Dings - Hugh Jennings, team captain.
- Mountains to Lake Warblers - Andy McCormick, team captain
We also have some new teams who are eagerly joining in the fun this year.
- Kitsap Kestrels - Mark Crawford, team captain
- Tim's Birdpix Team - Tim Boyer, team captain
(who will photograph as many birds as they can in 24 hours)
Birdathon Teams are always looking for new members! And what could be better than a day out with friends enjoying the birds and raising money for Eastside Audubon at the same time?
If you want to join a team or find out more, please call the office at 425-576-8805 or email us at office@eastaudubon.org and leave your contact information. We will have a team leader contact you.

Birdathon Team Goals
The goal for each team is to raise dollars and awareness for Eastside Audubon by securing pledges per species seen during any consecutive 24-hour period in May. If you are a beginning birder, you may prefer to get a pledge for a set dollar amount from each sponsor.
Go to Raising Money for tips on finding donors and asking them for pledges.
We try to see as many species as possible to maximize the money we will raise. Let your donors know how many species you expect to see – 50? – 100?
