What is Birdathon?

Birdathon is the bird watching equivalent of a Walkathon.  People who love to watch birds spend time doing what they love and ask their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and associates to pledge a certain amount of money to Eastside Audubon for each bird species seen, or a specific total amount, if they prefer.

A per-species pledge can be very motivating to find "just one more" to increase the amount raised for EAS.  Birdathon happens in Audubon chapters all across the country during May.  It is a unique fundraising effort, and a lot of fun, too.

Remember!

Birdathon gets people’s attention.

It’s a national event.

There is usually publicity all over the country.
