Ardmore Park (Bellevue) Field Trip (2/25/02) Highlights

It was a beautiful sunny day for this Monday morning hotspots trip.

We had three species before we left the Park & Ride: a Bald Eagle, two Red-tailed Hawks and a Downy Woodpecker. We stopped at the Phantom Lake access on the way and added 10 new species, including Hooded Mergansers, Ring-necked Ducks and Double-crested Cormorants.

At Ardmore Park we had 8 new species and a total of 16 species, including many Golden-crowned Kinglets, some Ruby-crowned Kinglets, one Varied Thrush, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Red-breasted Nuthatches and Dark-eyed Juncos. There were 7 people with 25 species sighted.
