Juanita Bay Park
Juanita Bay Park offers many opportunities at up close views a variety of wildlife in several types of habitats in Kirkland, WA. The 144-acre park provides habitat for songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, shorebirds, amphibians, turtles, beavers and other small mammals. Interpretive signs are located throughout the park for self-guided tours. Juanita Bay Park features paved trails and several boardwalks.
Notes:
Interpretive tours of this wildlife habitat are conducted by volunteer Juanita Bay Park Rangers on the first Sunday of each month, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the parking lot. Tours last approximately one hour and take place rain or shine. Bring binoculars. No registration is required.
Bird walks are the third Tuesday of the month at 9:00am and finish before noon. Join one of the Juanita Bay Park Rangers, who is also a member of the East Lake Washington Audubon Society, for a relaxed morning walk in Juanita Bay Park looking for any birds in the area. Bring binoculars and meet in the parking lot. No registration required.

Restroom facilities open April to October. They are closed and secured prior to first freeze. Port-o-potties on site during closure.
Getting There: The park is located at 2201 Market Street in Kirkland, Wa 98033 and open all year, dawn to dusk.
Where to Go: Trails are easy to follow and find. Be sure to follow the boardwalk and it pays to be quiet and listen for the many species that fly through the trees and brush.
Setting: Wet meadow, marsh, open water, shrub wetland, wooded wetland and intermittent marsh.
Best Time to See the Birds: Year round.
