The Samish & Skagit Flats are great this time of year for raptors, including hawks, eagles, falcons and owls.

January 14 (Wednesday) 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

 

We will usually see both species of swans and lots of waterfowl. Wintering shorebird flocks may zoom by, and there is a good chance of loons, grebes and alcids. Bring a lunch. Weather is changeable so bring protection from wind and rain, and waterproof footware. Meet at 8 a.m. at the south end of   Kingsgate P&R to carpool. Passenger cost/person $20. Brian H.
