What Will I Be Doing on the Christmas Bird Count?

There are lots of opportunities for everyone from beginner to expert! We need people to spot birds, people to identify birds, and people to tally the results.

We will be out from dawn to dusk.

We will be driving a route around a specific area, then getting out, counting birds, and recording the tally on specially formatted sheets.

What Should I Bring?

• Wear comfortable shoes or boots and warm clothes.
• Bring extra layers of warm clothing, hats, and gloves.
• Bring raingear just in case.
• Bring lunch, hot beverages, water, and snacks.
• Bring binoculars or a spotting scope.
