  • Middle school/junior high classrooms
  • High school classrooms
  • Nature centers
  • Youth programs
  • Fairs and festivals
  • Camps

What do we teach in our workshops?

We offer a variety of workshops for primary through secondary students.  Programs can be adapted to units of study, specific needs of students and to the Essential Academic Learning Requirements for Washington State.  Here is a list of workshops we offer.

Are we also active during the summer?

During the summer, we give presentations in a variety of locations and for different organizations such as camps and festivals.

How do we help students get even closer to nature?

The Youth Education Committee provides scholarships for low-income students to attend summer camps with an environmental focus.  Some of these are day camps; some are overnight.

Do we offer any other hands-on outings for children and families?

Several times a year, volunteers take children and families on family nature walks to see and identify birds.  These events are open to the public as well as to our members.

Are the presentations free?

Yes, they are free except when noted on the list of workshops.  We always appreciate donations.
