Karismatic Kestrels

Captain: Andy McCormick

Location: Over the Cascades

The Karismatic Kestrels are heading east again this year in search of birds for the Eastside Audubon Birdathon. Our Big Day will be on Wednesday , May 8. We will begin in King County at Marymoor Park and make several stops as we head over the Cascades to Kittitas County for birds in Cle Elum, Swauk Prairie, and near Ellensburg. Then we will look for sagebrush birds along Old Vantage Road. We will cross the Columbia River at Vantage and check Frenchman’s Coulee and Dodson Road in Grant County, making a stop at Birder’s Corner and return west to pick up some birds on the way home. It will be a full day but it’s all for the birds. You can help our effort by pledging an amount of money per bird species we see. Our goal is to find 100 species of birds and gather donations for Eastside Audubon.
