Volunteer Self Assessment

Thank you for considering giving your time to Eastside Audubon.

We have multiple volunteer opportunities that vary in skill level and time commitment. We want to help you determine if our organization is a good match for you. Please take a moment to answer for yourself the following questions. We want to ensure that your volunteer commitment is a fulfilling experience, and one that best matches your skills and availability.

1. Do you have the time in your life now for this kind of commitment?

Often people with good intentions are just too busy to volunteer. Many of our volunteer opportunities require a minimum one year commitment. We rely on volunteers to meet the needs of our Chapter and fill administrative roles in our organization. Without reliable volunteers the needs of our organization would not be met.

2. Do you consider yourself .... A team player? A good communicator? Able to handle stressful situations? Able to take initiative?

We are looking who possess certain skills/characteristics. Having these skills will make for a more successful volunteer experience.

3. Are you comfortable with people who are different from yourself?

Volunteering with our Chapter means that you will be working with people of different ages, socioeconomic, cultural, racial, ethnic, religious and education background. Are you able to keep your personal, religious and political beliefs separate from your role as a volunteer?

Thank you for taking the time to complete this self-assessment. If you answered these questions affirmatively, we encourage you to complete a Volunteer Application. You may download and mail a copy, call our office (425-576-8805)  to have one mailed to you, or contact our Volunteer Coordinator directly.

If you decide that our Chapter is not the best fit for you, thank you again for considering us.
