Karismatic Kestrels

Captain: Andy McCormick

Members: Carol Ray, Maureen Sunn, Nancy Hubly, Mick Thompson

The Karismatic Kestrels are dynamic birders who have won Most Money Raised and Most Bird Species Seen categories in the past. We’re literally driven to succeed as our route takes us from Marymoor Park in Redmond to Rattlesnake Lake in the Cascades, over Snoqualmie Pass to Cle Elum and Ellensburg to Vantage, then across the Columbia River to Birders’ Corner and County Line Ponds – a day-long odyssey in search of new birds. Please support our team with a donation to Eastside Audubon. We want to protect birds and their habitat.

Bird Brains

Captain: Jim Rettig

Members: Jim Rettig

The Bird Brains led by Jim Rettig are the perennial leaders for the most money raised by a team. Jim is very successful in amassing a terrific list of birds and obtaining pledges from many people who donate to support the Bird Brains. Jim has also been instrumental in teaching other team leaders how to succeed in raising funds for Eastside Audubon while having fun finding birds. Jim is on a personal birding trip this year and will count birds for Birdathon while there.

Whidbey Wingdings

Captain: Hugh Jennings

Members: Sharon Aagaard, Stan Wood, and Margaret Snell

The Whidbey Wingdings led by Hugh Jennings seek out every bird they can find on a loop trip heading north across Whidbey Island and then south through the Skagit Valley and Snohomish County. Every year they see or hear an impressive list of birds. Sharon Aagaard, Stan Wood, and Margaret Snell are three excellent birders who join Hugh to round out the team.
