Birding for Kids: A Workshop for Educators and Parents

  • Lake Sammamish State Park 2000 Northwest Sammamish Road Issaquah, WA, 98027 United States (map)

Join us for a special workshop led by Kevin O'Malley of South Sound Nature School (www.southsoundnatureschool.org). This hands-on session is perfect for educators, parents, and volunteers who want to introduce birding to elementary-age children.

Kevin brings years of experience engaging young learners with the natural world. He'll share fun, age-appropriate ways to spark curiosity and make birding accessible for kids. Learn simple techniques, interactive games, and tips on using binoculars and field guides with younger children.

Whether you're planning a classroom activity, leading a nature walk, or just exploring your backyard, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to make birding exciting for the next generation.

The fee is $50 per person. Sorry refunds are not available.
