Billy Frank Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge Field Trip

  • Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge 100 Brown Farm Road Northeast Olympia, WA 98516 United States (map)

Billy Frank Nisqually NWR offers a diverse combination of habitats and birds and is an excellent birding location at any time of year. In fall, birds will be staging for migration, and others will be arriving from the north. The delta is bordered by the Nisqually River and birds are attracted by the expansive wetlands, deciduous woods, grassland areas, and the tidal estuary. Expect to see a variety of waterfowl ducks and geese, shorebirds on the mudflats, raptors, and a good variety of migrating songbirds.
