VIRTUAL PROGRAM NIGHT

Malheur - Where the Birds are Plentiful and the People are Not

Join us virtually for a photographic tour of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge with Dan Streiffert!

Dan has been visiting Malheur every year since 2007. Located in the high desert of northeastern Oregon, Malheur is mecca for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. As one of the best birding and photography locations in the Pacific Northwest, more than 340 bird species and 67 mammal species have been observed at Malheur. Please join us for a photographic journey through space and time (2007 – 2019) with Dan Streiffert starting from the area adjacent to the cities of Burns and Hines, and working south to Malheur Lake, the visitor center, and continuing to Page Springs campground at the south end of the refuge.

Dan is a retired software engineer who now spends as much time as possible photographing wildlife. He is currently the Conservation Chair of the Rainier Audubon Society and the editor of the Heron Herald newsletter.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Program Nights takes place on the fourth Thursday of every month from 7-9pm unless otherwise indicated.
