Join us for a bird walk at Snoqualmie Wildlife Area: Stillwater Unit!
Join Leah Turner, president of the Eastside Audubon Photography Club, for a bird photography oriented walk around Stillwater Unit! Explore one of the best places in King County (west of the cascades) to see Bullock’s Orioles, Western Wood-Pewees, Cedar Waxwings, Swainson’s Thrushes, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Lazuli Buntings, and Vaux’s Swifts! The Snoqualmie River Valley provides tremendous habitat for a wide variety of birds, especially some colorful summer migrants like Orioles, Wablers, and Flycatchers. This will be a photography-oriented walk, so bring your cameras! We may spend a bit more time with some birds we encounter to allow for maximum photographic opportunities. All skill levels of birder and photographer are welcome.
