Jr Birder Outings

Do you have a budding naturalist? Or just want to get your kids outside noticing nature?
Join Eastside Audubon at local parks!
Jr Birder Outings are short, kid-paced walks to look for birds, plants, insects, animals – whatever catches our attention! Along the way, Jr Birders get to know one another and our environment – including how to make and share observations, wonderings, connections and how to protect and care for our natural world.
In opening and closing circle, kids share their expectations and experiences and get hands-on with specimens from our collection. Following outings, stay for an optional 30 min to chat with your leader or lunch/play with new friends.
All youth receive a Jr Birder ID. Advance to new levels by learning and demonstrating the Jr Birder Way!

Safety
All youth must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. And any adult must be accompanied by at least one child! Except for wheelchairs and strollers, wheels at home! Please also leave your pets at home. Outings occur rain or shine, except for dangerous conditions.
