BIRD AND NATIVE PLANT WALK AT EVANS CREEK PRESERVE

This will be a morning walk to look for birds as well as identify the native plants that feed and shelter them. It will be co-led by the Sammamish Stewards, the group responsible for restoring native plant habitat in the preserve, and Eastside Audubon. The walk is perfect for those who want to see the birds of our area during the fall and learn about the plants found along the way.

Pace: Leisurely walk. Terrain: Hiking trails with gentle rolling hills. Distance: Less than 2 miles. Level: Appropriate for all levels of birders.

Your safety is of paramount importance to Eastside Audubon. The following COVID-19 safety protocols apply for this bird walk:

  • This event is entirely outdoors. Masks are required if unvaccinated otherwise they are optional.

  • Participants are required to self-assess prior to the walk and must not attend if they have any COVID related symptoms (e.g. elevated temperature) or have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past two weeks.

  • The trip leaders are fully vaccinated.
