JUANITA BAY PARK BIRD WALK

  • Juanita Bay Park 2201 Market St Kirkland, WA 98033 (map)

An early morning walk through the park to see what birds are in the area. Walk starts at 7:30am (arrive earlier so we can start on time) and ends at approximately 10:00am. Bring binoculars and meet in the parking lot. If the park gates are closed there is street parking on Market Street just south of the park, but avoid parking in the bus lane. Depending upon the number of participants it may be necessary to break up into more than one group. If this occurs it may be necessary to delegate someone who is familiar with the park as an additional walk leader.

Pace: Leisurely walk. Terrain: Mostly flat grass/pavement/boardwalk. Distance: Less than 2 miles.

Restroom access is seasonal (closed during the Winter) usually open at other times (sometimes there’s a portable) but not guaranteed, so plan accordingly.

Leader: Antonio Montanana amontanana@eastsideaudubon.org.
