CBC Warm-Up Field Trip, pre-registration required

  • Bear Creek Park and Ride 7760 178th Place Northeast Redmond, WA, 98052 United States (map)

In preparation for the Christmas Bird Count (CBC), join Andy McCormick and visit some of the CBC locations to look for birds on the first day of Count Week.

This scouting field trip will help section leaders and participants know where to look for birds on Count Day and familiarize themselves with the location. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

During this warm-up field trip, groups will visit locations in the Snoqualmie Valley, along Issaquah Creek, on trails and parks of Lake Sammamish, and Phantom Lake. It will be a fun day of winter birding and at the same time provide information to team leaders before they count birds on the following Saturday.

The CBC will take place on Count Day, December 20th.

Participants will meet at the Bear Creek Park and Ride, then continue onto the locations together.

If you plan on carpooling, please bring $3 for non-drivers to be paid directly to the driver.
