Join us at the Program Night in July to learn how Eastside Audubon is partnering with King County and Fall City residents to restore a wetland damaged by flooding over a decade ago.
Robert Swan—award-winning forestry instructor and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington—will share plans for a 20-acre restoration project just outside Fall City. He will be joined by a graduate student collaborator. Together, they’ll highlight how students, scientists, and community members are shaping a site that supports habitat, education, public access, and long-term data collection.
Robert’s research and teaching focus on hands-on forest and ecosystem management that balances competing goals. He leads the UW chapters of the Society of American Foresters and the Beekeeping Club. He’s passionate about agroforestry and gives away thousands of nut tree seedlings each year.
Robert grew up in suburban Seattle and now spends his free time volunteering, mentoring students, and gardening with his wife, Audrie.
Join us to learn how this inspiring partnership is bringing nature, learning, and community together.
