Accessible and Inclusive Bird Outing to Join Regular Monthly Birding at Tolt MacDonald Park, Carnation, WA
We will enjoy a leisurely birding experience at Tolt MacDonald Park. We will look for fall and wintering birds along a one-mile out-and-back asphalt trail that overlooks shrubs, a field, a marsh, and a section of the Snoqualmie River. The paved trail is mostly level with one short rise at the end near the Tolt River Bridge. There are benches along the out-and-back trail and participants can turn back at any time. There is also a shorter loop trail around the campground. There are picnic tables in the campground.
Birds to enjoy: Belted Kingfisher, Black-capped Chickadee, Song Sparrow, Spotted Towhee, Fox Sparrow, and Canada and Cackling Geese, and woodpeckers are possible.

Skill Level
We will join the regularly scheduled monthly birding trip and include a design to be intentionally inclusive and accessible for beginner or advanced birders who experience accessibility challenges as a result of a disability or a health concern. The outing leaders have experience with accessibility challenges. Birders of all abilities are welcome on this outing.

Meet at the main parking lot at the end of NE 40th Street, Carnation, WA. In the main parking area there are 4 accessible parking spaces, two of which are van accessible.
