Christmas Bird Count and Dinner

Eastside Audubon's big day of birding for science is December 15th. Count birds on your own or as part of an EAS team from early morning through late afternoon, then join us for a celebration dinner from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at the chapel at Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church in Kirkland.

About the Christmas Bird Count

Audubon chapters across the country survey their territories during the weeks around Christmas, gathering bird census data that is indispensable to the study of species distribution and the effects of climate change.

To find out how to join a team or count in your own backyard, visit the EAS Christmas Bird Count pages.

The Christmas Bird Count Dinner

At the end of our count day on December 15, we'll tally the results during our traditional CBC dinner. It starts at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel immediately next to Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, 308 Fourth Ave S, Kirkland, WA 98033.

The chapter will provide appetizers, a hot main course, beverages, and dessert. The dinner is free for all who participate in the bird count.

RSVP: Help us make sure we have the right amount of food! If you plan to attend the dinner, please call or email Jan McGruder by Tuesday, December 11, at 425-822-8580 or president@eastsideaudubon.org. Please advise us of any special dietary needs.
