VOLUNTEER NOW! Help Relaunch Eastside Audubon’s Youth Nature Programs

Our K-12 Youth Education programs are taking flight again!  We need passionate volunteers like you to help us reach as many Eastside students as possible.

Whether you are an expert birder or someone who loves nature; a retired teacher or someone who simply believes in community; 80 years young or 18 years old - we have a role for you!

YOUR OPTIONS: Choose how you volunteer:

  • Activities: Assist with classroom presentations, event booths/tables, bird walks or hands-on projects and crafts

  • Settings: Indoors in classrooms, science fairs or libraries.  Outdoors at schools, parks, camps or community events.

  • Time: Anywhere from 2 to 20 hours a month – or more if you choose.

  • Locations: Work in your own neighborhood, surrounding neighborhoods or across the Eastside

REQUIREMENTS

For the safety of our youth and volunteers, all volunteers will participate in our “Working with Youth” training and pass the state working with youth background check.

BENEFITS

You’ll get to spend time in nature, share your passion with the next generation, and learn bird walk leadership "on the job". Most importantly, you may be the reason a local child connects with the birding and the environment for the first time.

We thankfully welcome volunteers of all backgrounds, races, religions, and abilities.  Interested students under 18 are also welcome with parent/guardian approval.
