Eastside Audubon’s Board of Directors hired Sheila Ritchie as executive director in August 2018 to lead the organization. Sheila comes to the chapter from Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville, where she managed fundraising.

This is my last report as your Board President. It has been a fun and busy four years and I thank all of you for the opportunity to serve as your leader.

On a cool Saturday morning in September, the Crop Walk for Hunger 5K walkers ended their trek at 21 Acres in Woodinville.

Last month’s column on the potential benefits of breaching the four federal dams on the lower Snake River elicited a response that questioned those benefits and the need to breach the dams. The response led me to investigate this idea more thoroughly and I found a tremendous amount of information.
