The Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC) isn’t just a fun birding day — it’s the oldest and largest citizen science project in the world, and it depends entirely on volunteers like you.

The January 5th event was a great start to the year for habitat restoration at Marymoor. Even though there were no plants to put in the ground, 27 volunteers came out for invasive plant species removal for a total of 83.5 service hours. It was a good opportunity to discuss the areas in the chapter that need attention, both from the board’s point of view and the executive director’s.
